SOREPTION Signs With CUBE 1 RECORDS

May 7, 2008

Swedish technical death metallers SOREPTION have inked a deal with Cube 1 Records. The group's four-track EP, "Illuminate the Excessive", featuring a five-song bonus live DVD, will be released on June 23.

"Illuminate the Excessive" was recorded, mixed and produced at Sidelake Studios by Tommy and Chris Rehn from ANGTORIA. The CD also features artwork by Chris Rehn.

Formed in 2005, SOREPTION specializes in "technically and artistically advanced riffs topped with in-your-face brutal vocals," according to a press release. "These twenty-year old guys perform their songs quickly, brutally and highly technical with musicality and finesse. A very unusual combination especially for a band as young as SOREPTION."
